These are the books I've read so far this year. Personally I don't like to sit down and read so I find the audiobooks to listen to while I tackle work as I learn.
1. The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene
The 48 Laws of Power honestly has helped me recognize and utilize the manipulation I was under by others in my life. I started to use the laws to reverse the power these certain people had over me and learned to use them if and when needed.
I hear a lot of misconceptions about this book being evil and teaching to manipulate but In fact it's really an amazing book. EVERYONE EVERYDAY is being manipulated in some way. Here is an example.
The news never tells you the full truth and they never will. Why would they? it is because they're being paid not to tell it to you. If you take their news stories for fact without doing any research for yourself then you will continue to be the easy prey. The 48 Laws of Power will give you a better and more deeper understanding of how they manipulate you, how to analyze and flip it, and how to recognize it almost everywhere and anytime it is being used against you and others.
2. The Art of War by Sun Tzu
The Art of War was written in ancient China around 500 BC. This is a military strategy book and a damn good one. The strategies in this book can be flipped in perspective and used in everyday business, strategy and everyday life. The Art of War is really another way to look at the art of life.
3. The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles
The Science of Getting Rich is more about using the Law of Attraction to generate wealth. This book genuinely gives you an amazing insight of a more logistical look at how to get rich. It is the breakdown. It is the science.
4. The Lucifer Principle by Howard Bloom
The Lucifer Principle takes a look at nature and humans and truly how the negative experiences in life truly affect you. he Lucifer Principle helped me realize how negative I looked at life and helped me to shift my perception. Now I'm able to look at a bad situation as the perfect learning opportunity.
5. The Game by Neil Strauss
The Game is another book that gets a lot of hate because the art of pickup is seen as immoral and manipulative by most women and captain save a hoes. Now Obviously there is the exception that you simply as a man just don't like to sleep around and you'd rather have a meaningful relationship with someone you love and care for deeply and if you do I respect you for that. I truly do. Back to The Game, Neil gives a good look and perspective on pickup. Personally for me this book got me interested in the human psyche more as if women were able to fall for simple tricks and lines then I could better understand the mind and be able to have better and deeper conversations with them as well as teach my fellow friends how to both understand and seduce women if needed. One of my top favorite books not because of the pickup scene but the explanation of simple psychology and ways to implement them.
6. The Real Man's Handbook by Larry Wingel and Chris Widener
The Handbook approaches being a man and what it means to be a man in a more professional way. In business and everyday life. Taking a look at the old traditions that are slowly dying out and trying to bring them back.
7. The Way of the Superior Man by David Deida
David really attacks men nowadays in an attempt to be better. Telling you how to be better. Trying to offer solutions to the problems of the world today. This book is another in my top favorites for its blunt truth and openness
8. Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill
Outwitting the Devil is based on a conversation Napoleon Hill supposedly had with the Devil. Reading it is basically another way of learning how to escape the matrix and take responsibility for your own destiny. This "escape the matrix" book as I called it was originally written in 1938 but wasn't published until 2011. This was due to Napoleons family hiding it away due to the controversy it definitely would have caused in the 30's.
9. Hard Times Create Strong Men by Stefan Aarnio
Hard Times Create Strong Men is my favorite book I've ever read. The bluntness of truth in this book is unreal. There is no sugarcoating only the truth of society and what's wrong with it today. The book is pretty much based off of this quote "Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times." The explanation, breakdown and solution too this quote is hidden inside this book just waiting to get out.
